To better serve residents and businesses, the City of Albany has created an Evacuation Assistance Registry through the Community Connect platform. This voluntary tool allows individuals to share important information that can help emergency responders provide more effective assistance during emergencies.

All information submitted is secure and used only in emergency situations. If someone is unable to register themselves, an authorized representative may complete the registration on their behalf. Together, we can build a safer community through prevention, preparedness, and response.

The Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) is a strategic document developed by the City of Albany to identify potential natural and human-made hazards, assess community vulnerabilities, and outline actions to reduce long-term risks to people, property, and the environment. It serves as a proactive tool to guide planning, infrastructure improvements, and community education efforts that strengthen the city's resilience to disasters. The LHMP is essential for preparing for future hazards and minimizing the impact of events such as earthquakes, wildfires, flooding, and other emergencies.
