Friendship Club

Friendship Club is a year-round youth program offered by the City of Albany, providing after-school care during the academic year and full-day camps during summer and seasonal school breaks.

Designed for children in grades K–5, the program creates a safe, inclusive space where kids can play, learn, and build lasting friendships. Activities include outdoor games, crafts, STEM projects, sports, nature play, and social-emotional learning, all guided by trained recreation staff who prioritize creativity, kindness, and community.

In addition to experienced adult staff, Friendship Club features a Junior Counselor program that gives older youth a chance to develop leadership skills while supporting younger participants. Whether during the school year or on break, kids enjoy engaging, age-appropriate programming in a fun, supportive environment that encourages growth through play and exploration.
