Parking Enforcement

The Albany Police Department is responsible for enforcement of timed parking in specified residential and commercial districts of Albany. The fine amounts are based on laws of the State of California or as in the case of municipal ordinances, pursuant to the City of Albany Master Fee Schedule.

Instructions for Paying or Appealing a Citation:

1. Within 21 calendar days of the citation date: Pay your citation Online or,
2. Mail full payment by check or money order using this envelope. Make checks payable to “City of Albany.” Please put the citation number on your check or money order. Mail payment to:

If you have a valid reason for contesting this violation, you must contest this citation in writing by sending the City of Albany’s Parking Citation Review Form(PDF, 62KB) , along with your payment to APPEALS, c/o Citation Processing Center, P.O. Box 22814, Denver, CO 80222-2814. The Citation Review Form can be found on the Albany Police Department’s website, under PARKING ENFORCEMENT.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The citations are processed by an outside agency, therefore they cannot be paid at the Albany Police Department.
