Area Coordinator Program

Albany Map Area Coordinator v3

The Albany Police Department values strong relationships with the community and remains committed to improving accessibility between officers and residents. To enhance communication and community engagement, we are proud to introduce the Area Coordinator Program.

This program divides the City into four sections, each with a dedicated officer who serves as a direct point of contact for local concerns. Area Coordinators are available to answer questions, address neighborhood issues, and collaborate with residents to improve public safety. However, emergencies and crimes in progress should always be reported immediately to 9-1-1.

Residents, business owners, and community members are encouraged to connect with their assigned officer for a more personalized approach to addressing concerns. Whether discussing neighborhood issues, seeking guidance, or simply introducing yourself, we welcome all community interactions and look forward to building stronger connections.
