The City maintains the Buchanan Street Overhead, Bridge No. 33C- 0184 (Buchanan Bridge). The Buchanan Bridge was constructed in 1963 and last modified in 2000. In November 2022, the California Department of Transportation conducted a routine inspection and provided a Bridge Inspection Report (BIR), assessing the structural health between fair and good and providing a Sufficiency Rating of 90.4.
The City intends to seal the bridge deck, address work recommendations outlined in the BIR, perform pavement rehabilitation, and install new medians. The City is seeking the qualified proposer to assist the City to:
- Manage and complete Preliminary Engineering;
- Prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimate for the Project;
- Provide bidding and advertisement support
