Albany Police made an arrest for possession of controlled substances, possession of controlled substances for sale, manufacturing a controlled substance as well as four misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Albany Welcomes New Police Chief

The City of Albany is proud to announce the appointment of Greg Galliano as the new Police Chief for the Albany Police Department by City Manager Nicole Almaguer. Chief Galliano will be formally introduced at the Albany City Council meeting on Monday, February 2, 2026.
